Apple's next Apple TV 4K is getting a serious upgrade. According to Mark Gurman's Power On newsletter via MacRumors, the new model moves to an A19 chip — a big leap from the A15 in the 2022 model — and ships on October 30 alongside the new HomePod mini.
The more human detail: Apple has tested a Siri Remote with a built-in speaker so you can ping it when it inevitably slides between the couch cushions. Built-in microphones also enable hands-free Siri, removing the need to hold down a button to talk to your TV.
Between the chip upgrade and the lost-remote fix, this is shaping up to be the most meaningful Apple TV refresh in years.
