SiMa.ai has raised $150 million in Series C financing at a $1.45 billion valuation, co-led by Fidelity Management and Research Company and Amplify. The round brings the company's total funding to $500 million.
The money will scale SiMa.ai's "Physical AI" platform — purpose-built chips plus software designed to bring AI into robots, vehicles, and drones, rather than the data center. CEO Krishna Rangasayee described humanoids, automotive, and drones as a "$50 trillion market."
As AI moves from the cloud to the physical world, the chip race is fragmenting: general-purpose GPUs are giving way to specialized silicon tuned for power-constrained edge devices. SiMa.ai's unicorn valuation suggests investors believe that shift is now the main event.
