Apple's online store is down this morning as the company gets ready to open pre-orders for the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone. MacRumors reports the U.S. site now shows a holding page that reads "We love that early energy" and "Pre-order begins at 5:00 a.m. PT." That's 8 a.m. on the East Coast.
Pre-orders open in more than 70 countries and regions, including the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, China, India, and Japan. The Duo starts at $1,999 in the U.S., comes in Star White and Night Sky, and is offered in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. Deliveries and in-store availability start Friday, October 23, and 28 more countries get it on October 30.
Anyone who used Apple's "Get Ready" setup earlier this week should have a faster checkout. With supply expected to be tight, the first few minutes will matter.
