Square is launching Square Kiosk today, a 21.5-inch pill-shaped self-order screen with an "agentic, conversational voice layer" that understands the seller's menu. Guests can ask questions, request modifications or substitutions, and get suggestions by voice or touch, and presence detection welcomes them as they walk up. It's built for quick-service restaurants.

Price is $1,999 for businesses on Square Plus ($49 per location per month) or Premium ($149), including a counter stand, with total cost varying by stand type, plus a $99 monthly software fee per device. Payments are integrated (contactless, card slot, barcode scanner), and diners can optionally check in with Neighborhoods or Square Loyalty.

"Square Kiosk adds a third piece to the solution: intelligence," Block Global Hardware Lead Thomas Templeton said in the company's press release. Available starting October 14, 2026.
